Building potential
The potential of adding new m2 to our existing building mass is huge. In contrast to the housing pre 1950,
new type-houses are most often structurally optimized, which makes it hard to add m2 upwards.
Due to this, many relatively new houses are torn down.
Re-use as a starting point
With a resource-conscious approach we have transformed a catalogue house from 1998, with low ceiling
height into a two floor villa. With 4 screw foundations for extra support, it has been possible to keep the existing facades and building deck with integrated floor heating, together with existing doors and windows.
The new first floor is build in wood with linen insulation, a biobased vapor barrier and wind barrier.
Roof windows allow for natural ventilation.
