NEW SPACE FOR ARTISTS
VAK / VESTSJÆLLANDS ARBEJDENDE VÆRKSTEDER

We are happy to share that the extension of VAK broke ground in late 2024.

VAK in Jyderup is a series of workshops for Denmarks leading creative visual artists, designers and architects. 170 professionals use the association-run workshops to explore, develop, experiment and produce artworks.

Os have designed an extension to VAK's workshop facilities and a partial conversion of the existing workshop building into an Artist in Residence.

Between the new and the existing workshop building, a common yard will be created with space for working and socialising. The new building will be constructed using biogenic materials and glulam frames. The construction principle of the workshop without load-bearing partition walls allows a flexibility in the use of the space over time. The landscaping for the outdoor spaces use a high degree of reuse in a patchwork of pavements from the site and the surrounding areal of Jydstrup.

A.P. Møller Foundation has generously donated 15 mill. to VAK and the new building.
